Stimulus Spending in Massachusetts

Where did it go, how was it spent?

The federal government will spend $787 billion before the economic stimulus program is concluded next year, including $14 billion in the Bay State. Finding out where that money is going isn’t easy. You can go to federal and state Web sites, sort things out and add them up. Actually, it is not that simple. Although Massachusetts was ranked 10th in the nation for the ease with which an ordinary citizen can ferret out information on stimulus spending, there was no one-stop shopping for this information — until now.

Several months of research into the stimulus-spending data for 41 cities and towns in southeastern Massachusetts went into the information you can now access through this Web site.  Use Custom Search and chose your city or town for the easiest way to see all the stimulus money that your local community got.  You can generate other reports from our online database with Custom Search, or use one of the Quick Searches below.
